Free outdoor concert in Kingston: The Halluci Nation and guests take the stage at Rockin’ the Square on July 25

Get ready as Springer Market Square becomes Kingston’s largest outdoor dance space for one night only! On Friday, July 25 at 8 p.m., Rockin’ the Square returns to Springer Market Square with a free outdoor concert headlined by Indigenous electronic music duo The Halluci Nation along with special guests.

Formed in Ottawa, The Halluci Nation (formerly known as A Tribe Called Red), is known for their electrifying fusion of traditional Indigenous music and dubstep, hip-hop and drum & bass. The multi-Juno award winning duo—Bear Witness and Tim “2oolman” Hill—has captivated audiences worldwide and recently made history as the first independent Indigenous artists from North America to surpass 100 million streams on Spotify. With their powerful beats, mesmerizing multimedia display and message of social activism, The Halluci Nation is amplifying Indigenous voices and inspiring listeners across the globe.

“Rockin’ the Square has been an integral part of downtown Kingston’s summer culture since 2013, bringing our community and artists together through the power of live music,” said Jayson Duggan, Performing Arts Manager with the City of Kingston. “We’re especially excited to present this year’s headliner, The Halluci Nation, an iconic group whose music and message resonates deeply with audiences across Canada and beyond.”

Special guests will be announced closer to the show, so stay tuned for more exciting updates!

Rockin’ the Square is the City of Kingston’s signature annual large-scale summer music concert that presents renowned national artists along with featured local supporting acts for the Kignston community. The event is rain or shine and is free to attend.
