Kingston Artists' Showcase returns with a new exhibition in the Market Wing Cultural Space at City Hall

The City of Kingston is excited to announce the opening of Part  2 of the Kingston Artists’ Showcase, a community-focused exhibition celebrating the creativity and diversity of local artists. The second part of this year-long exhibition opens May 21, 2025, and shows the artworks of over 30+ new artists, and runs until November 2025 in the Market Wing Cultural Space, located within Kingston City Hall.

The Kingston Artists’ Showcase brings together over 60 artists across two exhibition periods, selected through an open call for submissions. The showcase highlights a wide range of artistic practices—from prints and paintings to textiles and stained glass—featuring emerging, mid-career, and established artists living and working in Kingston.

“The Kingston Artists’ Showcase offers an opportunity to see and celebrate the depth of artistic talent within our community,” says Danika Lochhead, Director, Arts & Culture Services, City of Kingston.  “This program aims to create a platform for new and emerging visual artists alongside more established artists within a civic space, and we’re excited to see new works on the walls of the Market Wing Cultural Space.”

Part 1 of the exhibition ran from October 2024 through April 2025 and featured 31 artists.
Part 2 introduces a new group of 38 Kingston-based artists whose work reflects the city’s vibrant artistic landscape and cultural identity.
