New Air Canada and Landline partnership connects Eastern Ontario region to Toronto Pearson hub via luxury motorcoach service
Air Canada is expanding its partnership with The Landline Company, offering customers in the Eastern Ontario region a convenient and sustainable way to access Air Canada’s global network starting from YGK Airport in Kingston, Ontario.

“We are delighted to be reconnecting customers in Kingston and the surrounding region to our global network. This is a premier example of the new opportunities our growing partnership with The Landline Company unlocks. Customers travelling between Norman Rogers airport and Toronto Pearson on Landline's premium motorcoaches will enjoy the same benefits as those making air-only connections, including the convenience of a single itinerary and through-tagged baggage when departing Kingston, disruption protection, and Aeroplan earning opportunities. We look forward to welcoming customers onboard,” said Ranbir Singh, Director, Regional Airlines and Markets, at Air Canada.
Beginning today (July 29), customers can book a single itinerary at aircanada.com that includes a nonstop luxury motorcoach from Kingston Airport (YGK) to an onward connecting Air Canada flight from Toronto Pearson (YYZ), for travel starting Sept. 23. The experience features through check-in, the ability to print bag tags at YGK, and Aeroplan points earned on both the motorcoach and flight segments—all under one booking. In the event of a delay, passengers booked on the Kingston–YYZ segment will be automatically rebooked free of charge on the next available Air Canada flight.
"This new service is a game-changer for travellers in the Eastern Ontario region,” said City of Kingston Councillor, Lakeside District, Wendy Stephen. “By connecting our regional airport directly with Canada’s largest international gateway, residents will benefit from easier, faster access to global destinations—without the need to navigate highway traffic. We’re proud to see Kingston as part of this innovative step toward more sustainable, multimodal travel.”
About the Service
Landline, on behalf of Air Canada, will operate two nonstop round trips daily between Kingston Airport (YGK) and Toronto Pearson (YYZ). Customers will book their entire journey at aircanada.com, check in at YGK, and receive boarding passes for all segments. Bag tags can be printed at YGK, with checked luggage dropped at Air Canada's self-serve bag drop at Pearson—no counter check-in required. Travellers with carry-on bags only can head straight to security and their departure gate at Pearson.
“We are thrilled to partner with Air Canada and the City of Kingston to bring this new service to Eastern Ontario,” said Nick Johnson, Vice President, Commercial at Landline. “This new Air Canada service allows Kingston travellers to seamlessly book one-stop journeys on aircanada.com from Kingston Airport (YGK) through Toronto Pearson to Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, and hundreds of Air Canada destinations worldwide, just as they would with a traditional connecting regional flight.”
How to book the service
Travellers can take advantage of this new offering in three ways:
- Book a new itinerary at aircanada.com, just like any connecting flight. For example, Kingston (YGK) to Edmonton (YEG) via YYZ.
- Already have an Air Canada reservation? Contact Air Canada Reservations to add the Landline connecting segment at no extra charge.
- Flying with Air Canada Vacations, another Star Alliance carrier? Book a standalone premium motorcoach seat at ca.landline.com.

About YGK Airport
YGK Airport, also known as Norman Rogers Airport, is the main public airport serving Kingston, Ontario, located approximately 8 km west of downtown. The airport originated as a Royal Canadian Air Force training base in 1940 and later became City‑operated. Despite its regional size, YGK provides modern amenities—including free Wi‑Fi, charging stations and accessible facilities—and supports general aviation, charter flights and flight training. With a single streamlined terminal, expedited security lines, and plans for future growth, YGK Airport offers a convenient and community‑focused air travel experience.
Looking forward, this partnership with Air Canada and Landline sets the foundation for future direct air service return, including ongoing work with Air Canada on secure-to-secure passenger transfer options and discussions with other potential air carriers.
