Media Inquiries

The City's media relations team works to provide journalists with qualified spokespeople and information not covered by the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act in a timely fashion.

City spokespeople are encouraged to participate in interviews with journalists and/or bloggers who:

Members of the media can reach us by emailing communications@cityofkingston.ca or calling 613-546-0000 ext. 2300. Please provide your name, outlet, the nature of your request, and your deadline.

We will reply to all media inquiries as soon as we receive them. Our goal is to respond during regular business hours, and usually within a few hours to one business day, or by any deadline provided by the media. If your request is complex or needs a lot of information, it may take us longer to get back to you.

If we cannot provide a response by the requested deadline, we will advise you of the reason for the delay and indicate when a response can be expected.
