City of Kingston celebrates 18-year naming rights partnership with INVISTA
The City of Kingston is proud to celebrate 18 years of partnership with INVISTA, whose naming rights support of the INVISTA Centre has played a key role in enhancing recreation and sport opportunities for residents since the agreement was first approved on May 6, 2008. “We’re proud to support the Kingston community through our partnership with the INVISTA Centre.” says David Dempster, Kingston Site Manager, INVISTA. “It’s been meaningful to see this facility bring people together, and we look forward to seeing it continue as a place for gatherings and community connection.”
Since opening, the INVISTA Centre has become one of Kingston’s premier recreation facilities, welcoming thousands of residents and visitors each year for ice sports, fitness, community programming and major tournaments. INVISTA’s continued support has helped ensure the facility remains a vibrant, accessible hub for physical activity, connection and community pride.
Through this long-standing partnership, INVISTA has demonstrated a strong commitment to Kingston’s well-being, contributing to a facility that supports healthy lifestyles, youth development, and local economic activity. Events hosted at the INVISTA Centre continue to draw visitors to the city, benefiting local businesses and reinforcing Kingston’s reputation as a destination for sport and recreation.
“INVISTA has been an exceptional community partner for nearly two decades,” said Bryan Paterson, Mayor of Kingston. “Its investment in the INVISTA Centre has helped create a space where people of all ages can come together to be active, compete, and build lasting memories.”
Beyond its support for community recreation, INVISTA Canada plays a significant role in Kingston’s economy as the city’s largest private sector employer. With a long-standing presence in the community, INVISTA contributes to local prosperity through high-quality jobs, investment in advanced manufacturing, and strong partnerships with local institutions and organizations. Its economic leadership reinforces Kingston’s position as a centre for innovation and industrial excellence while supporting the overall vitality of the region.
As the City reflects on this milestone, it extends its sincere appreciation to INVISTA for 18 years of partnership and looks forward to continued collaboration in supporting Kingston’s growing and active community.
