Civic pride meets creativity as Kingston launches 2026 election sticker design contest

Kingston’s search for the next iconic “I Voted” sticker design is officially underway!

The City of Kingston is inviting the community to design official “I Voted” and “Future Voter” stickers that will be handed out at voting places on Advance Voting Days (Oct. 16 and 17, 2026) and Voting Day (Oct. 26, 2026).

This is a chance to help celebrate civic pride and democracy in Kingston. And, while you’re getting ready to design your sticker, make sure you’re registered to vote

Submissions are open now until Friday, July 3, 2026, at 4 p.m.

Two contest categories are available:

  • “I Voted” sticker - open to all Kingston residents
  • “Future Voter” sticker - open to youth aged 17 and under (with parent/guardian consent)

Participants are asked to create an original design that includes the exact wording “I Voted” or “Future Voter” and fits within the official contest template. Designs must be original and cannot include AI-generated content, copyrighted images, logos, political messaging, or offensive content.

After submissions close, a City review panel will shortlist designs, and the public will be invited to vote online for their favourites.

The winning designs will be printed and distributed at voting locations during the election. Winners will also receive a sheet of their stickers as a keepsake.
