Celebrate the long weekend with us!
The City of Kingston is inviting residents and visitors to get outdoors, explore our parks and public spaces, and enjoy a free Victoria Day event in Confederation Park on Monday, May 18. Enjoy a free evening of live music, a drone show presented by Slush Puppie and fireworks in Confederation Park, delivered by the City’s Special Events Office from 7 – 10 p.m.
Backyard fires and fireworks: Kingston Fire & Rescue (KFR) reminds all residents that they must obtain a free open-air fire permit if they wish to have an open fire on their property. Residents are required to read and comply with the full list of regulations.
KFR also encourages all residents to attend the fireworks display at Confederation Park on Monday, rather than having displays at home. This is a safer and more economical option. People who decide to set off fireworks must comply with manufacturer's instructions (found on packaging) and are asked to read and follow our safety guidelines.
The City of Kingston wishes all residents a safe and happy long weekend!
