Kingston Fire and Rescue (KFR) is pleased to announce that Mike Keiley has been appointed Deputy Fire Chief.
“Deputy Keiley is an accomplished fire service professional who has dedicated more than three decades to advancing fire and life safety and emergency response in Kingston. He will excel in his new role and continue to serve the city well,” says KFR Fire Chief Kevin Donaldson.
Deputy Keiley has extensive fire service experience, having served with KFR for the past 31 years. Throughout his career, he has progressed through the ranks, serving as a firefighter, captain, and most recently, Platoon Chief, a position he was promoted to in 2014.
Deputy Keiley holds a bachelor's degree in science, a diploma in public policy analysis, and a certificate in fire service leadership, in addition to numerous fire service certifications and diplomas, reflecting his lifelong commitment to professional development and excellence.
“These qualifications, combined with decades of practical experience spanning several areas of the fire service, have prepared Mike well for the responsibilities of Deputy Fire Chief,” says Chief Donaldson.

Deputy Keiley will assume the role on July 20, 2026.
