NOTICE OF INTENTION TO DECLARE SURPLUS AND DISPOSE OF MUNICIPAL PROPERTY

Pursuant to the City’s Public Notice Policy and the City’s Real Property Acquisition and Disposition Policy and Procedure, take notice that Council of The Corporation of the City of Kingston intends to declare the Subject Property surplus to municipal needs and authorize its disposition. 

Lands Affected: The Corporation of the City of Kingston is the registered owner of the lands legally described as BLK 196, PL 1778; KINGSTON; Being all of PIN 36084-0250 (LT), as approximately shown on Exhibit A (the “Subject Property”). 

Explanatory Note: Planning Committee will consider declaring the Subject Property surplus to municipal needs and authorizing its disposition to an adjoining landowner for development purposes. 

Public Meeting: Planning Committee will consider declaring the Subject Property surplus to municipal needs and recommending its disposition on August 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 216 Ontario St., Kingston.  

Anyone wishing to be heard regarding this matters should contact the City Clerk’s Department at 613-546-4291 extension 1207 or provide written comments via email to CityClerk@CityofKingston.ca no later than 4:30 p.m. on August 5, 2026. 

If Planning Committee defers consideration of this matter, no additional public notice will be provided.
