Ring in the New Year at K-Town Countdown
The City of Kingston invites residents to celebrate New Year’s Eve together at the free, kid-friendly K-Town Countdown event from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31 at the INVISTA Centre.
Event Highlights:
Skating Party (5–9 p.m.)
Glide into the New Year with free public skating featuring disco lighting and great music, sponsored by Kingston Desjardins Agents. Jack’s Pro Shop will be open for skate rentals for a fee during the event.
A sensory-friendly skating hour will take place from 4-5 p.m. on the Selkirk Homes rink with dim lighting, no music, skate supports and on-ice matting for those requiring assistance. Complimentary skate rentals will be available from Jack’s Pro Shop during the sensory-friendly skate hour only.
Family-Friendly Activities (5–9 p.m.)
Meet your favourite characters in costume in the main concourse, encounter fascinating animals up close at the Zoo to You Animal Display, and enjoy festive face painting with New Year’s Eve-themed designs.
Haymakers Canteen will be open throughout the evening.
