Today is the final day to vote in the 2026 Municipal Elections!
Your Voting Day location is listed on your Voter Information Letter (VIL). Don't forget to bring the VIL with you when you go to vote along with acceptable identification that shows your Kingston address, such as an Ontario driver's license or photo card to save time.
Don't have a VIL? You don’t need one to vote in person, and can still register to vote, or update your voter information, in person at your voting location:
- Visit CityofKingston.ca/Vote to find a list of acceptable documents for voter ID to bring with you to the voting location. If you are unsure whether you are on the voters list, bring a piece of ID that confirms your address in Kingston.
- Find your voting day location at CityofKingston.ca/Vote.
Online voting
Online voting remains open until 8 p.m. Information about online voting can be found in your VIL.
If you have any issues with online voting, we encourage you to vote in person at your voting location today, Oct. 26 before 8 p.m.
Accessibility and transportation
Accessible voting equipment will be available at all voting locations. Additional supports include assistance from a friend, election staff or curbside voting.
Kingston Transit and Kingston Access Bus (for registered users only) will provide free transportation for voters on Voting Day. If you take Kingston Transit, show your VIL on your way to and from your voting place.
Results
We will post unofficial results after 8 p.m. at Results2026.CityofKingston.ca as they become available. Those results will also be broadcast on a screen in Memorial Hall, City Hall, 216 Ontario St. All are welcome to attend!
