Off-Site Kingston Area Recycler (OSKAR)
OSKAR stands for Off-Site Kingston Area Recycler, our mobile waste trailer. It helps keep recyclables and compostables out of landfill and off the ground.
Make your next community event cleaner and greener by inviting OSKAR! The mobile trailer is adaptable and can be changed to meet your event needs. Need lots of room for plastic water bottles? – OSKAR can do it! Looking to only divert organic and paper waste? - OSKAR can do it!
How to book
Submit a booking request for your event using the button below. Once we receive it, we will confirm your booking and the final cost.
Review the eligibility criteria and fee information to ensure that OSKAR is right for your event.
Booking is first come, first served.
Eligibility
- Events must be within the boundaries of the City of Kingston
- No private events. Events must be open to the community but can have either free or paid admission
- OSKAR is not for garbage collection. Our staff will confirm recycling and organic options when confirming your booking
- You must send us a site map for the delivery of OSKAR at least one week before your event
Fees
The cost of using OSKAR starts at $64.65 per drop off and pick-up.
This fee covers the cost of delivery and emptying of OSKAR. For most events, only one delivery and pick-up is needed. Our staff will review your needs at the time of booking.
Penalties may apply for contaminated materials. To avoid a contaminated materials fee, we recommend a volunteer or representative from the event help people recycle and compost correctly.
