Notice of intention to declare surplus and dispose of municipal property
Pursuant to the City’s Public Notice Policy and the Disposition of Real Property Policy take notice that the council of the Corporation of the City of Kingston intends to declare surplus and dispose of the following municipal property:
Lands affected: The Corporation of the City of Kingston is the registered owner of the lands. The subject lands are legally described as Part Lot 11 Concession East Great Cataraqui River Kingston/Pittsburgh; Part of Part 2 on 13R-3204 Except Part 1 on 13R-5189 & Part 1 on 13R-10589; Kingston, as approximately shown on Exhibit A.
Explanatory note:
The subject lands proposed to be declared surplus consist of a portion of 367 Gore Road, as approximately shown in Exhibit A. The lands comprise an approximate width of 101.7m. a depth of 46.9m and a total area of 1.18 acres.
The City established the Housing Accelerator Project, the primary objective of which is to expedite the development of new housing across the City of Kingston by leveraging existing municipal resources. The subject lands have been identified as part of this initiative and are proposed to be declared surplus. The City intends to sell the lands to facilitate residential development.
Circulation to all relevant City departments has confirmed that there are no current or anticipated future municipal needs for the subject lands.
City Council will consider a motion to declare the property surplus on July 7th, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at its regular meeting to be held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 216 Ontario St., Kingston.

In the event that the matter is deferred, no further public notice will be given.
