Drop-In Aquatic Programs

Join one of our regular drop-in programs. You must pre-register for swims at Artillery Park Aquatic Centre and Culligan Water Park. Review the full schedule of all our aquatics programs.

Family swim

Have fun together as a family in the water. If you are an adult, you can join family swims in the leisure pool even if you do not have kids with you.

Just remember, caregivers must watch over children under 16 years old while they are in the water.

Lane swim

Fitness in the water is easy on the joints and a great workout. The pool is divided into six lanes for three speeds: slow, medium and fast.

Leisure swim

All ages are welcome. The diving board is only open if both the leisure and lane swimming pools are open at the same time.

Children nine years and under must be accompanied by a person 16 years or older. Maximum three children per caregiver. Caregiver must be in the water.

Parent and tot swim

Come have fun in the warm water leisure pool at Artillery Park Aquatic Centre. It is ideal for preschool kids aged six and under. Kids must be accompanied by a caregiver who is 16 years or older.

If your child is not toilet trained, please put them in special swim diapers. You can buy these at the front desk. Also, it is best not to eat a big meal or feed your child right before swimming.

Older adults swim

A time for adults 55 and older to exercise, socialize and unwind.

This swim time is combined with the therapeutic swim.

Therapeutic swim

Pool time is available to workout individually or with your health practitioner/trainer on your prescribed exercises in a warm therapeutic pool. No formal class instruction. Both personal therapist and client are required to pay admission fee. A qualified lifeguard is on duty and pool equipment is available for use.

This therapeutic swim time is combined with the older adults swim.

AquaFit

AquaFit combines the usual warm-up, aerobics, muscle conditioning and cool-down routines with the benefits of water resistance, buoyancy and warmer water temperatures. This kind of water exercise is gentler on your joints making it suitable for everyone, whether you are a swimmer or not.
