City Hall rental requests

City Hall, located at 216 Ontario Street, has four spaces available for rent. Due to its historic nature, we require special staffing for bookings.

For operating hours, please contact the Special Events Office at 613-546-4291 ext. 1801.

To request a meeting room or hall at City Hall, use the form provided. You can also explore other meeting rooms, halls, and kitchens, at different city locations.

All rentals in City Hall require city staff present. Staff will be scheduled half hour prior to the start of your booking and half hour after your booking ends.  All staffing is a 4 hour minimum. Any event that has alcohol will require an additional guard.

Pool Side 

  • Up to 20 people seated depending on setup requirements
  • Viewing window (pool): reception area adjacent, whiteboard and TV

Multi-Purpose Room 

  • Up to 50 people seated depending on setup requirements
  • Projector and screen, sink, small fridge, microwave, counter, rubber-flex floor 

Boardroom 

  • Up to 10 people seated  
  • Boardroom table with seating, whiteboard, TV

All food and beverages must go through the Cataraqui Community Centre vendor HAYMAKERS. They can be contacted at merchantdave@icloud.com.

Cloverdale Hall 

  • Up to 100 people seated depending on setup requirements
  • Upper level, private washroom facilities, viewing windows overlooking Cataraqui Ice Pad, accessible 

Sunnyside Hall 

  • Up to 100 people seated depending on setup requirements
  • Upper level, private washroom facilities, viewing windows overlooking Kinsmen Ice Pad, accessible 

Conference Room 

  • Up to 25 people seated depending on setup requirements 
  • Main level

Reddendale Hall

  • Bleachers and equipment/play carts are available free of charge
  • 1 volleyball courts, 3 pickleball/badminton courts

Half gym

  • 1 pickleball/badminton court

Kitchen

  • Up to 8 people
  • Access to all equipment
  • Window through to large hall

Kitchens

There are two locations in the city where kitchens are available for rent: the Kingston East Community Centre and the Rideau Heights Community Centre.

Before renting a kitchen space, make sure to carefully read the Kitchen Use Guidelines documentation available for each location.

Please note:  Anyone booking the kitchen is responsible for ensuring they are in compliance with all requests and requirements made by KFL&A Public Health including, but not limited to, compliance with Ontario Regulation 493/17 for Food Premises.
