This Canada Day come together to celebrate summer and beat the heat at the coolest party in Kingston!
When and where?
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Confederation Park and Springer Market Square, 216 Ontario St., from 12 to 10 p.m.
Activities
This year’s Canada Day celebration features live and local music, kids’ and family activities, food trucks, a licenced beer garden (19+), a DJ dance party featuring Skratch Bastid, and fireworks!
Admission is free.
Confederation Park
- The Great Canadian Stroll & Roll, presented by Downtown Kingston BIA
- Starting at 11:30 a.m. from Princess at Barrie St.: Family-friendly walk and ride down Princess Street
- Bikes, scooters, wagons, pets, and strollers welcome
- 12:00 p.m.: Arrives at Confederation Park
- Opening remarks and welcome
- 12:00 p.m.: National Band of the Naval Reserve
- 12:30 p.m.: Opening remarks including a Welcome by Mayor Bryan Paterson, followed by a Canada Day cake cutting, and a Land Welcome and Prayer by Grandmother Kathy Brant.
- 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Kids Zone sponsored by Canada Royal Milk
- 24' Rock Climbing Wall

Kingston Public Market
The Kingston Public Market is the oldest and longest-running public market in Ontario, featuring vendors selling fresh local produce, plants and flowers, baked goods, preserves, crafts, and more! The Kingston Public Market will be operating on Canada Day in Springer Market Square from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Canada Day is a popular event. Due to high traffic levels, we encourage active modes of transportation: walk, cycle or take public transit.

What to bring
- A reusable water bottle to fill up at the Water Buggy courtesy of Utilities Kingston
- Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats
- Government issued photo identification for beer garden
Road closure notifications
Please note that Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise the public that the LaSalle Causeway will be fully closed to vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians on Tuesday July 1 from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Additional closures
- Market St. will be closed from June 30 at 8 a.m. to July 2 at 2 a.m.
- Ontario St. will be closed from Clarence St. to Brock St. on July 1 from 7 a.m. to July 2 at 2 a.m.
Accessibility information
- Confederation Park and Springer Market Square are fully accessible. Some activities will take place on the grass.
- Accessible restrooms are available in City Hall, the Visitor Information Centre, in addition to accessible portable restrooms.
- Portable restrooms are non-gendered. Additional non-gendered restrooms are available in City Hall and the Visitor Information Centre.
- Water bowls will be available for guide dogs at the Special Events Office information booth.
