Intercultural Arts Festival
The Intercultural Arts Festival is an annual celebration of Kingston’s cultural diversity. The event features live performances, cultural pavilions, community exhibits, artisan vendors and international cuisine, creating opportunities for residents and visitors to connect, learn and celebrate together. The festival will also incorporate the City’s "Welcome to Kingston" initiative, providing information, resources and connections for newcomers to the community.
When and where?
On Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Confederation Park (216 Ontario St.)
Apply to participate
Community members interested in participating need to complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form by Sunday, July 19 at 11:59 p.m.
Opportunities to participate include:
- Cultural pavilions representing specific traditions or communities
- Artisan and food vendors
- Community organizations sharing programs and services
- Live artistic performances, including music, dance, theatre and storytelling
We will select participants with input from the festival's ethnocultural community planning committee to create a balanced, engaging, and inclusive event. We will consider each participant's fit with the festival's purpose, their connection to the community, and whether the event site can support their participation.
You need to sign up or log in to MyKingston to submit the EOI form online. A MyKingston account helps us manage applications, communicate with applicants and avoid SPAM.
If you require an alternative format, please contact the Special Events Office by emailing specialeventsoffice@cityofkingston.ca.
