Warm Up, Cool Down, and Clean Air Locations

Public holidays will impact hours of service at listed locations.

There are places for you to go when it’s too cold, too hot, or if there is unsafe air quality. Before you go, if possible, please call ahead to make sure there is enough space to accommodate. They are good for a quick warm-up or cool-down, but they might not have many extra services.

Emergency shelters

Emergency shelters are available in the community for people experiencing homelessness. There are shelter and drop-in services that are available 24 hours a day and can provide a safe place for people facing immediate threats, offering a temporary haven with necessities such as food, shelter and warmth during crises or disasters.

Home Base Housing's Street Outreach Team regularly checks on known individuals experiencing homelessness. If you are experiencing homelessness, or are concerned about a person in need of help, please call 613-542-6672 ext. 130 or email streetoutreachteam@kingstonhomebase.ca.

If you or someone you know is in distress, please call the Addiction and Mental Health - KFLA 24/7 Crisis Line: 613-544-4229 or 1-866-616-6005. If it is an emergency, please call 911.
