Equip Sport Lockers

Unlock your game: Free sports equipment now in Kingston parks

The City of Kingston is excited to partner with Equip Sport and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities to bring 30 free, self-serve sports equipment lockers to parks across the city.

This new pilot project removes barriers to sport by providing free use of basketballs, volleyballs, frisbees and more.

How it works

  1. Download the free Equip Sport app
  2. Use the table below to find your nearest locker station
  3. Use the app to unlock gear
  4. Play and return when finished

No credit card or payment is required, just grab your phone and get in the game.

Recreation for all

This initiative supports Kingston’s goals around building a more active, inclusive and connected city by making recreation available to all. The lockers are:

  • Free to use, thanks to Jumpstart funding
  • Accessible and inclusive, with carefully chosen locations
  • Smart and sustainable, mounted on existing infrastructure
  • Fully maintained and monitored by Equip Sport
