Kingston Health Science Centre Parking
We continue to work with Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) to improve parking options around the hospital for short-term visitors. The KHSC Parking Map shows the location of city-operated parking options around the hospital.
Parking lots
There are four municipal parking lots near KHSC:
- Three at MacDonald Memorial Park, maximum parking time is 3 hours. Payment is required from Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hourly rate is $2.
- Richardson Beach Lot
- Richardson Beach South Lot
- Waterfront Lot
- One at The County Court House, maximum parking time is 24 hours. Payment is required from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hourly rate is $2.
- Frontenac County Court House Lot
KHSC also manages private parking lots.
On-street parking
We manage over 800 on-street and off-street parking spaces in the KHSC area. You can park at these spots for a maximum of 3 hours from Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The hourly rate is $2.
Use HonkMobile for a convenient way to pay for accessible or cancer centre parking.
Cancer Centre parking
Lower George Street has parking for Cancer Centre patients on weekdays. The rate is $1 per hour or $5 for the whole day. You need a patient parking permit issued by the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario (KHSC) and a pay and display receipt from Monday to Friday. Payment required for regular parking on Saturdays. If you forget your permit, you can get a replacement at the hospital’s cancer clinic.
If these spots are full, use overflow parking at Waterfront and Richardson Beach lots. You can also park on parts of Barrie Street and King Street, but not in City Park.
Using your patient parking permit
- Pay and Display machines: Cancer Centre patients can use pay and display receipts at machines on Lower George Street and Barrie Street. You can stay longer than 3 hours in both parking lots and on-street spots by displaying a full day $5 pay and display receipt and your hospital clinic patient parking permit.
- HonkMobile app: Cancer Centre patients using HonkMobile can enter the code 80000 to get the Cancer Centre parking rate. Make sure your patient parking permit is clearly displayed in your vehicle.
Overflow parking for Cancer Centre
Please note that overflow parking is not allowed in City Park.
List of overflow parking options:
- Waterfront Lot
- Richardson Beach Lot (foot of Barrie Street and King Street)
- Section of Barrie Street between King and Stuart streets
- Section of King Street between Barrie and West
