Kevin George was elected to represent Loyalist-Cataraqui District on Oct. 27, 2014. He has served three previous terms on council:from 2000 to 2006 (two terms)and 2010 to2014. Prior to amalgamation, Kevin served on the Kingston Township council from 1995 to 1997.

George is a life-long resident of Kingston, which has been home to his family for several generations. He and his wife, Joanne, raised their children here and are now grandparents to four energetic grandchildren. For 23 years they resided in Lakeside District, but as of 2004 they have lived in Loyalist-Cataraqui District.

George is a business owner in partnership with Ontario Land Surveyors at Hopkins Chitty Land Surveyors Inc. and has been employed in this field for more than 30 years.

During his previous time on council, George sat on several committees including: the City of Kingston planning committee, the Cataraqui Regional Conservation Authority, the infrastructure and transportation policies committee and the rural/urban liaison committee. He is proud of chairing the committee that oversaw development and construction of the INVISTA Centre. Along with many local committee responsibilities, George represents the City of Kingston as a director on the Association of Municipalities of Ontario's large urban caucus.
