Arts, Recreation, and Community Policies Committee

The Arts, Recreation, and Community Policies Committee reviews policies on: 

  • Accessibility 
  • Community program, including recreational and cultural programming 
  • Emergency planning 
  • Social services, including children's services, daycare, social housing, and long-term care 
  • Long-term residential care and seniors’ issues 
  • Animal control  

It is one of the four Standing Committees of the Council. Standing Committees review staff reports and make recommendations directly to Council. They are made up of only members of Council.
